Honolulu Museum of Art School (Linekona)
Fostering creativity in the Pacific.
At the Honolulu Museum of Art School (Linekona), Christine served as Exhibitions Coordinator and Graphic Designer. Linekona was Honolulu’s major creative hub, supporting local artists and artist organizations throughout the year with exhibitions, workshops, and community events.
Christine coordinated exhibitions and designed catalogs celebrating the work of emerging and established artists alike. Summer courses for K–12 students concluded with an exhibition of their work.
Beyond serving students, Linekona supported local artists by hosting specialty workshops with visiting artists from around the world, providing access to techniques and experiences that might otherwise be unavailable in Hawai‘i. The school also partnered with established organizations like the Honolulu Printmakers—the oldest printmaker association in the country—as well as emerging groups such as Pow! Wow! and Contact, fostering a thriving cultural arts ecosystem.
Christine played a central role in this community engagement, offering exhibition coordination support, designing exhibition materials, and organizing events such as PechaKucha Honolulu. This artist-talk evening celebrated Hawai‘i’s creative talent and included local vendors, drawing the community together while highlighting the stories behind the art.
